Pete Wray's Blues Connection

Hi. We’ve just got home from our evening at the Windmill Hotel in Alford. Part of the Alford Jazz Festival. We had a great evening. The event was well attended and we were delighted that the audience stayed to the end (and still asked for more!). It was our first booking for a while so we were somewhat apprehensive. No need as it turned out, the audience were very forgiving and we all had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. It was great to see some old friends and perhaps to have made some new ones. Thanks to Pris McGirr and all those who organised the event including the landlord of the Windmill. We look forward to playing again in Alford. ------------ Thanks to Pris McGirr for the photos. Hi. Things are very quiet on the gig front at the moment. I've been spending time recording many solo guitar tunes and I hope to have another CD ready in the near future. The trio has also been working on a new composition for a while now and we have our first version of "Boston Park" recorded. This is a song written by Helen after a visit to Boston Mass. I added the tune and we are pleased with the progress. We have one gig in July. See the calendar. Pete
